It is famous for its strict all-white dress code, but Katie Boulter will display a stylish splash of colour at this year’s Wimbledon championships.
The British women’s number one showed off a new set of manicured fingernails – painted in the green, white and purple colours of the All England Club – while practising on court yesterday.
Players have previously worn bold manicures and hairstyles at the tournament to express their style.
In 2022, Andy Murray painted a tennis ball on one of his nails and last week Venus Williams revealed a bright pink hairstyle.
Boulter, 26, also revealed yesterday that she and long-term boyfriend, Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur, 24, are staying in a large house in Wimbledon for the tournament so their families can enjoy the competition together.

The pair have been together since 2021.
She said: ‘The whole team and family are staying together. Because I am only five minutes away from my actual house, it still feels like home.’
As British number one, the pressure is on for Boulter as she leads the charge for Britain’s women. She will face Australian Daria Saville in the first round on Tuesday.
